What is ADUS?
Asociación Dejando Una Sonrisa (ADUS), in its path as an altruistic, solidarity-driven, and humanistic organization, has strived for its constitution to mean more than mere legality — positioning itself as an organization that fosters safe and effective spaces and accompaniment processes for the physical, psychological, moral, social, and spiritual development of children, adolescents, and youth in Guatemala.
Our History
Founded in 2010 as Grupo Juvenil Dibujando Una Sonrisa, ADUS was formalized as an association in 2014 with the commitment to guarantee equity, inclusion, and social justice for the most vulnerable populations in Guatemala.
Since then, we have worked tirelessly to provide integral education, psychosocial support, and empowerment opportunities to hundreds of children and youth.
Mission
We are an association with strong organizational capacity, providing integral support to girls, boys, adolescents, and young people through educational, psychosocial, and cultural processes that improve their quality of life and help build a protective and sustainable environment.
Vision
ADUS is a leading association in the promotion and defense of the rights to Personal Integrity and Integral Education, contributing to the progressive autonomy of girls, boys, adolescents, and young people within protective environments in their families, schools, and communities.
